MY STORY

Hello all,
My name is Jason Smothers. I have been a residential remodeler for almost 25 years. I love what I do and have been blessed to meet and work for many amazing clients over the years. However, my true love is and has always been woodworking. I realized early on that it would be difficult to pay the bills just by building furniture, so I branched out to do general remodeling and hoped to pick up cabinetry and furniture jobs along the way.
The last 5 years have seen some amazing changes for myself and my family. I have a son who has grown into a man and will be heading off to college next year, I have a beautiful wife and I have a daughter who is amazing beyond all description. Many of you know we adopted Chloe in 2019 and the journey has been nothing short of spectacular. It has inspired us in ways we never could have imagined and helped grow as a family and individuals. For myself that has resulted in a renewed interest and desire to expand my love for furniture making.
I decided the best way to do this would be to combine what I love to do with the opportunity to give back to our local Down Syndrome Association. Down Syndrome of Louisville has helped us and many others navigate the uncertain waters of raising a child with a disability. To show my appreciation, I will donate 10% of all proceeds from my new venture to DSL.
I look forward to working with you to create beautiful, lasting, heirloom quality pieces of furniture and being able to use my talent to give back to an organization that has given so much to so many.
Kind Regards,
Your Three Caret Craftsman
